The correct application of torque is a fundamental principle of engineering safety and quality. Under-tightening a bolt can lead to loosening, leaks, and catastrophic structural failure. Over-tightening can cause the fastener to shear or damage the components being joined. In industries like Aviation, Oil & Gas, and Automotive, the integrity of every single bolted connection is absolutely critical.
Al Saqr Engineering provides expert, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited torque calibration services to ensure your tools are applying the exact force required by your specifications. We help you eliminate guesswork, ensure assembly consistency, and maintain a safe, compliant operation.
Our Torque Calibration Capabilities Include:
Click-Type Torque Wrenches: The most common type used in workshops and field maintenance.
Dial & Beam Torque Wrenches: Verifying the accuracy of the visual scale.
Digital Torque Wrenches: Calibration of the electronic sensor and digital display.
Torque Screwdrivers: For low-torque applications in electronics and delicate assemblies.
Torque Multipliers: Verification of the precise multiplication ratio.
Torque Transducers & Analyzers: Calibration of your in-house torque testing standards.
The mechanical or electronic components in a torque wrench can wear or drift over time, leading to inaccurate torque application. Calibration verifies its accuracy, preventing dangerous under-tightening (parts loosening) or over-tightening (bolts breaking), which is critical for both safety and product quality.
The industry standard is typically once every 12 months or every 5,000 cycles, whichever comes first. However, calibration should be performed immediately if the tool has been dropped, subjected to an overload, or if you suspect it is providing inaccurate readings.
When a tool fails, we immediately notify you with the "As Found" data. For most mechanical torque wrenches, our skilled technicians can perform an adjustment to bring it back within the manufacturer's specified tolerance. If successful, we will complete the calibration and issue a certificate. If it cannot be adjusted, we will recommend a repair or replacement.
