pH, TDS & Conductivity Calibration

In water treatment, power generation, food and beverage production, and environmental monitoring, the chemical properties of your liquids are not just a data point—they are a critical control parameter. Inaccurate measurements of pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), or conductivity can lead to failed batches, inefficient processes, equipment corrosion, and severe compliance issues.

Al Saqr Engineering provides expert, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration for your full suite of liquid analysis instrumentation. The sensitive electrochemical sensors in these devices are prone to drift and require regular, professional calibration to ensure they provide trustworthy results.

Our Liquid Analysis Calibration Capabilities Include:

pH Meter Calibration: Handheld meters, benchtop lab meters, process transmitters, and probes.
Conductivity Meter Calibration: Portable and benchtop meters, inline sensors, and controllers.
TDS Meter Calibration: Handheld TDS meters and process transmitters used in water quality testing.
Multi-Parameter Meters: Instruments that measure multiple parameters (pH, conductivity, TDS, Salinity, DO) in a single device.

Why Choose Al Saqr Engineering for pH, TDS & Conductivity Calibration?

  • Use of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs): We use only high-purity, temperature-corrected buffer solutions and conductivity standards with direct traceability to NIST and other international bodies. This is the foundation of an accurate calibration.
  • Multi-Point Calibrations: We don't just check one point. Our procedures include multi-point checks across the instrument's range to ensure linearity and accuracy for all your process conditions.
  • Expert Technicians: Our team understands the principles of electrochemistry and proper probe handling, ensuring that common sources of error like contamination and incorrect temperature compensation are eliminated.
  • On-Site and In-Lab Service: We offer convenient on-site calibration for your process transmitters and controllers, and high-accuracy lab services for your handheld and benchtop meters.

Frequently Asked Questions

The glass electrode of a pH probe is a sensitive sensor that ages and degrades over time. It can become coated with process residue or leach ions, causing its response to drift. Frequent calibration (often daily or weekly in critical applications) is necessary to adjust for this drift and ensure accurate readings.

Buffer solutions are Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) that have a precise, stable, and known pH value (e.g., pH 4.01, 7.00, 10.01). They are used as the standards against which a pH meter is calibrated. By testing the meter in multiple buffers, we can verify its accuracy across its operating range.

Electrical Conductivity (EC) is a direct measurement of a solution's ability to conduct electricity, which is proportional to the concentration of ions. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is typically not measured directly but is calculated from the conductivity reading by applying a conversion factor. Therefore, an accurate conductivity calibration is essential for an accurate TDS reading.
